The office of the Municipal Agriculturist of Bansalan had recently conducted a study on High Valued Crops suited in Bansalan. Mr. Julian L. Albores, the Municipal Agriculturist, in coordination with his staff and the Barangay Agricultural Workers had manifested that the crops listed hereunder are best suited in the soil of Bansalan.
1. Rubber
2. Banana
3. Abaca
4. Cacao
5. Coffee
6. Calamansi
7. Passion Fruit
8. Mango
In support to the implementation of Good Agricultural Practices in the municipality, the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist is giving its best in educating local farmers. In fact, an educational radio program has been launched at 91.1 Bansalan FM dubbed as Kalambuan sa Kaumahan (Development in the Farm) to sustain farmers education. Said program is aired every Wednesday and Saturday, 6:00 to 6:30 in the the morning and 6:00 to 6:30 in the evening on the same days. It is a school on the air program with 250 farmer-enrollees.
